Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Kitchen Technician to join our production team. This hands-on position is responsible for preparing and producing cannabis-infused gummies and other edible products according to approved recipes, production procedures, and quality standards.The ideal candidate has experience in a commercial kitchen, food production, confectionery, or manufacturing environment and takes pride in cleanliness, consistency, accuracy, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and produce cannabis-infused gummies according to approved recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and process ingredients to maintain consistent batches.
- Operate commercial kitchen and gummy-production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with depositing, molding, demolding, finishing, sorting, and packaging gummies.
- Perform quality checks for appearance, weight, consistency, and overall product quality.
- Maintain accurate production, batch, inventory, and sanitation records.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain equipment, utensils, workstations, and production areas.
- Follow all applicable food-safety, sanitation, GMP, workplace-safety, and cannabis regulations.
- Follow PPE and personal-hygiene requirements at all times.
- Maintain organized ingredient storage and assist with inventory and material handling.
- Report equipment issues, quality concerns, contamination risks, or production discrepancies to management.
- Work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and product quality.
- Perform other production and kitchen duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous commercial kitchen, food manufacturing, candy/confectionery, or production experience preferred.
- Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written recipes and procedures precisely.
- Comfortable working with scales, mixers, ovens, depositors, and other production equipment.
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
- ServSafe Certification preferred
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in a regulated production environment and comply with applicable licensing and background-check requirements.
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
