Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the retail sales team, providing coaching, training, and development to foster a high-performing environment.
- Manage daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and stock replenishment to maximize sales potential.
- Oversee purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accurate transactions and optimal inventory levels.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews, and recruiting efforts to build a talented team aligned with company goals.
- Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and financial record-keeping with precision and integrity.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues effectively, and maintaining positive customer relations.
- Implement operational policies related to safety standards, inventory control, and store cleanliness to uphold company reputation.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within the retail industry, including supervising sales teams and managing store operations.
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for sales calculations and budgeting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams through managerial communication and organizational skills.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience in grocery or retail stores with knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, pricing strategies, and retail math is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership in operational management tasks such as shift management, cash handling, inventory control, and sales management.
