Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for patients virtually or in person (depending on needs).
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing psychopharmacology, therapy modalities, and other evidence-based interventions.
- Administer medications, including psychotropic medications, ensuring proper patient education and monitoring.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and clinical directors to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Manage patient records accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to mental health services while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Educate patients and their families about medication management, lifestyle modifications, and community resources for ongoing support if needed.
Skills:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Active New Jersey Nurse Practitioner license
- DEA and CDS license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in outpatient psychiatric care preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical team
