Product Development Specialist (P&C)

About The Role.

The Product Development Specialist will assist in the development and implementation of coverage related projects and is responsible for maintaining the content of PURE’s policy forms and endorsements. Strong candidates will be naturally curious with a strong understanding of personal lines insurance. This individual will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and will communicate effectively to help solve real business problems. This role reports to the Director, Product Development within the Product Management team and will work closely with several business units across the organization.

Type: Full-Time; Hybrid: In-Office 3 days/Remote 2 days.

What You'll Do.

• Support the development of comprehensive coverage initiatives, which drive growth and increase our competitiveness in the market.
• Monitor countrywide legislative changes and recommend any coverage impact of those changes.
• Analyze coverage in existing states and assist in recommending, filing and implementing changes from filing through systems implementation.
• Maintain current knowledge of competitor actions, industry developments and Member needs and drive coverage innovation to meet the needs of PURE’s target market.
• Assist in the creation of system specifications for coverage and form changes within our policy management system.
  
  
  

What We're Looking For.

• Bachelor’s degree required with 1-3 years relevant work experience.
• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with an ability to comprehend, interpret and draft moderate to complex policy language
• High degree of personal organization and time management skills; Ability to work autonomously and in a self-directed manner and manage multiple ongoing projects.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Experience using Word and Excel
• Eagerness to develop new skills and enhance expertise.
  
  
  

The base salary for this role can range from $55,000 to $65,000 based on a full-time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience
