We are seeking a highly experienced Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our boutique dermatology and cosmetic practice in Chevy Chase, MD. Our practice prides itself on delivering exceptional patient care in a professional, polished, and patient-focused environment.
This position is ideal for a skilled dermatology medical assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced practice, takes pride in efficiency and attention to detail, and is passionate about providing an outstanding patient experience.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- At least 1-2 years of dermatology medical assistant experience
- Experience with EMA (ModMed EMA) EMR
- Strong knowledge of dermatologic procedures and instruments
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain efficiency in a busy clinic
- A professional, polished, and team-oriented demeanor
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and document medical histories in EMA EMR
- Prepare patients for examination and assist the provider during visits
- Assist with dermatologic procedures including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and cosmetic procedures
- Prepare and maintain exam and procedure rooms
- Provide patient education and post-procedure care instructions
- Take clinical photographs as needed
- Help ensure smooth patient flow and a high-quality patient experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years dermatology experience required
- Experience with EMA strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic
We are a boutique Dermatology practice that specializes in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Customer service oriented atmosphere with a warm culture to provided the best medical care. We treat all ages of patients for skin related problems, skin cancer screening, skin cancer surgery and we specialize in Laser therapy, Botox/Dysport, Dermal Fillers, and skin care.
