Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or residential cleaning, janitorial tasks, and facilities maintenance. Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and stripping floors to ensure a professional appearance.
- Handle specialized cleaning tasks including industrial cleaning and commercial cleaning procedures.
- Maintain restrooms, kitchens, and common areas by disinfecting surfaces and replenishing supplies.
- Assist with custodial maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and touch-up work in residential or commercial settings.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, buffers, and other janitorial tools.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment during all custodial activities.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repair needs or safety concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial work, janitorial services, or related fields such as industrial or commercial cleaning.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and stripping floors.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Prior experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
