Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and sanitation procedures
- Implement proper cleaning and sanitation protocols to ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and janitorial tools effectively and safely
- Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing as needed
- Execute outdoor cleaning duties such as trash removal, outdoor surface cleaning, and light landscaping support when required
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or equipment while adhering to safety guidelines
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in residential or commercial settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, surface cleaning techniques, and floor care methods such as mopping, sweeping, and polishing
- Experience with carpet cleaning equipment and outdoor work is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling safely
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to cleaning procedures and equipment use
