Home Health QA Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Home Health Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance in our home health services. Duties
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for home health software applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and regulatory standards.
- Conduct functional, system, performance, usability, and user acceptance testing on mobile applications (Android and iOS), web services, APIs, and other healthcare systems.
- Utilize automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, Bash (Unix shell), to streamline testing processes.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Manage test data using SQL, MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and PL/SQL to support various testing activities.
- Monitor continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps to ensure smooth release cycles.
- Conduct performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools to evaluate system scalability under load conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, DevOps engineers, and system administrators to gather requirements and improve software quality.
- Maintain documentation related to test cases, defect reports, test results, and quality metrics using tools such as HP ALM or Jira.
- Support system troubleshooting efforts related to network issues or platform-specific problems across Windows, Linux, or cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
- Participate in requirement gathering sessions and contribute to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes following Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in software quality assurance within healthcare or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing (LoadRunner), system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and QA/QC processes.
- Proficiency with automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver (Java/Python), TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber; scripting skills are essential.
- Familiarity with mobile application testing on Android and iOS platforms; experience with mobile UI/UX validation is a plus.
- Hands-on experience working with APIs (RESTful & SOAP), web services, JSON/XML data formats; knowledge of API testing tools like Postman is advantageous.
- Expertise in database management using SQL/PLSQL/MySQL/MongoDB for data validation and analysis purposes.
- Experience working within CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins or GitLab; version control knowledge with Git or SVN is required.
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and troubleshooting complex issues across systems and networks.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux; understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is desirable.
- Knowledge of SDLC processes including requirements gathering, system design (MVC), release management, Agile/Scrum practices; experience with project management tools like Jira or TFS is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting test procedures and collaborating effectively across teams.
