What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director, Legislative Alliance (Remote) position at Purdue Pharma?

Job Summary
Responsible for developing relationships and collaborations with national, regional, and local organizations that address substance/opioid use disorder and identifying potential legislative or regulatory initiatives to help address/abate the opioid crisis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the Government Affairs primary point of contact and interface with organizations that address substance use, identifying and forming alliances
- Build, manage and create processes for the management of organizational involvement with professional and substance use disorder advocacy groups
- Solicit feedback and gain insights from the substance use disorder patient/provider community to facilitate the creation of the Company's policy agenda
- Liaise across Company functions/business areas to ensure the insights gained are incorporated into all appropriate Company initiatives
- Remain current on new developments in industry, regulatory, legal, policy and social media areas relevant to interactions with patient communities and organizations
- Work closely with legal and compliance to align on appropriate execution of programs and initiatives
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years' experience in legislative alliance/advocacy
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven excellence in relationship-building
- Proven ability to deliver oral, written, presentation communications across different audiences and to various personalities
- Demonstrated success in positively advocating for constituents in an objective and diplomatic manner
- Works collaboratively as a team player and has a track-record of achieving results in a matrixed organization
- Willing and able to at times travel up to 45% in the U.S.
