Role Description
The Assistant Director for Fraternity, Sorority, and Cooperative Life at Purdue University will provide leadership and support for the campus’s vibrant fraternity and sorority community. Responsibilities include advising fraternity and sorority chapters, developing leadership and educational programs, supporting diversity and inclusion efforts, and managing compliance with university and organizational policies. The Assistant Director will collaborate with chapter members, alumni, and campus partners to foster holistic student development. This full-time hybrid role is based in West Lafayette, IN, with opportunities for occasional work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Experience in student advising, event planning, and program development
- Knowledge of fraternity and sorority life, including risk management and compliance policies
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Proficiency in communication, both written and verbal, and team collaboration
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and creating inclusive student communities
- Ability to work in a hybrid working environment (on-campus and remote as needed)
- Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience working with collegiate fraternities and sororities is a strong asset
