What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Loan Processor position at Purdue Federal?
The Consumer Loan Processor is responsible for processing indirect contracts from dealerships and processing 2nd mortgage loans. The Consumer Loan Processor will also be responsible for loan auditing and keeping abreast of all Purdue Federal products, services and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Process 2nd Mortgage Loans based on current guidelines
- Send Initial and Closing Disclosures
- Review, order, and update supporting documentation
- Fund and Disburse
- Audit and archive
Process and finalize Indirect Loan Applications
- Process Indirect Applications for underwriting review
- Process and Fund all final contracts
Provide excellent member service
- Process 2nd Mortgage applications within a timely manner
- Maintain positive communication with Retail Staff, 2nd Mortgage Specialists, and Indirect Dealerships
- Answer incoming phone calls in a professional manner

Additional Requirements:
- Knowledgeable- Must possess an understanding of all Loan Products, Rates & Loan Regulations
- Knowledge of Loan Origination System (LOS) & any Processing Software - must be proficient in working with software to manage and process and close loan applications.
- Adaptability - Due to the dynamic and constantly changing nature of the lending industry, adaptability and a proactive approach is necessary. It is essential to remain up-to-date with evolving rules and regulations, while also maintaining a strong understanding of current market conditions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate proficiency in Excel
- Detail Oriented – Pays close attention to all detail, ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and rules and regulations are followed
- Communication Skills -strong verbal and written communication skills
