Responsibilities
- Bathing and grooming dogs according to breed standards and client preferences
- Handling animals safely and gently during bathing, drying, and grooming procedures
- Restraining dogs appropriately to ensure safety for both animals and staff
- Maintaining cleanliness of grooming areas and equipment
- Assisting with pet care routines such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and brushing
- Monitoring animals for signs of distress or health issues during grooming sessions
- Providing excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and procedures
- Ensuring a safe environment by following animal restraint protocols and safety guidelines
Skills
- Experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care is preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus
- Veterinary experience such as veterinary technician or assistant background is advantageous
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely and humanely
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs)
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with kennel procedures, pet sitting, or equine experience is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
