Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling tailored to each dog’s breed and individual needs
• Handle dogs safely using animal restraint techniques while maintaining a calm and positive environment
• Assess each pet’s health condition during grooming sessions, alerting owners to any concerns that may require veterinary attention
• Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, stations, and work areas to ensure a hygienic environment
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions
• Assist with pet handling during drop-off and pick-up processes, ensuring a stress-free experience for animals and owners
• Support pet care routines such as pet sitting or kennel duties when needed, demonstrating versatility in animal handling

Experience

• Previous experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a strong plus
• Experience working with animals in veterinary technician or assistant roles enhances your ability to assess health concerns during grooming
• Familiarity with animal restraint, pet sitting, kennel management, or equine experience demonstrates your broad animal handling skills
• Strong customer service skills are essential for building trust with pet owners and providing exceptional care
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger dogs or equipment is required

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
