Responsibilities
- Assist with measuring, cutting, and installing drywall panels according to project specifications and schematics
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer or sealants to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Support painting activities using brushes, rollers, or airless paint sprayers to achieve smooth finishes
- Help with taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing drywall joints for seamless results
- Mix and match paint colors based on project requirements and client preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on the construction site
- Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other tradespeople to complete projects on schedule and to quality standards
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades such as carpentry or plastering is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings is a plus
- Basic knowledge of construction estimating processes is advantageous but not required
- Familiarity with tools used in drywall installation and painting (e.g., tape measures, sanders, sprayers)
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety protocols
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day
- Willingness to learn new skills such as caulking, tile laying, or metal stud framing as needed
