Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of successful teaching experience
- Three (3) years of teaching experience with CCPS
- Certification in Elementary Education or Secondary Core Area (ELA, Reading, Math, Social Studies, and/or Science)
- Reading Endorsement or willingness to complete within one (1) year
- ESOL Endorsement (300 hour) or willingness to complete within two (2) years
- Clinical Ed training or willingness to complete within one (1) year
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Working knowledge of NET program requirements
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assists teachers in developing strategies for effective student learning with an emphasis on, with proper credentials, reading, writing, and math.
- Works with students as needed.
- Gathers student data through observation, dialogue, testing tools, etc., to design alternative strategies to meet diagnosed student needs.
- Facilitates the use of data for increased student achievement.
- Implements ways to facilitate parental involvement and parent education in order to increase student learning.
- Assists teachers in the implementation of curriculum integration with special emphasis on communication skills.
- Models effective strategies for teaching communication and/or math skills and their application with proper credentials.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the school’s School Improvement Plan.
- Supports teachers in the implementation of the Student Progression Plan, School Improvement Plan, and District Strategic Plan.
- Serves as “Lead Learner” at the school site.
- Delivers, designs, facilitates, and coordinates professional learning for all instructional staff at the school site.
- Serves as a resource to the MTSS Team.
- Performs other job-related functions as assigned.
