Service Desk Technician II
Contract-to-Hire | Hybrid-Occasional onsite support | Must be local to Rockville, MD
Pumex is seeking a Service Desk Technician II for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a professional business environment.
This is a true service desk / help desk role with a strong focus on application support, SaaS platform support, Microsoft 365, user access, and end-user troubleshooting.
This is not a systems engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering role. The right candidate is a hands-on support professional who enjoys helping users, resolving tickets, documenting issues clearly, and escalating appropriately when needed.
What you’ll support:
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365
- SaaS applications such as Box, Miro, Asana, Zoom, and similar platforms
- User access, provisioning, deprovisioning, MFA, and SSO issues
- Basic AWS / cloud service support
- Ticketing, phone, email, chat, and remote support
- Desktop, laptop, peripheral, and meeting room technology support
- Security tools such as Mimecast, CrowdStrike, or similar platforms
Ideal background:
- 3 years in service desk, help desk, desktop support, or application support
- Strong Microsoft 365 troubleshooting experience
- Experience supporting SaaS/business applications
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, MFA, SSO, and user account lifecycle support
- Basic AWS or cloud support exposure
- Strong customer service, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work with users professionally over phone, email, tickets, and remote support tools
Important location requirement:
Candidates must be local to the Rockville, MD / DC Metro area and able to report onsite when needed for equipment setup, physical configuration, meetings, or hands-on technical support.
Candidates who require a fully remote role with no onsite availability will not be a fit.
