We are looking for an experienced and reliable Auto Body Technician / Collision Repair Technician to join our automotive repair shop in Lafayette, Indiana.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience repairing damaged vehicles, including removing dents, repairing body panels, and preparing vehicles for the next stages of the repair process.
We are looking for someone who understands the general collision repair process and can work independently while maintaining good quality and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Repair vehicles damaged in collisions and other accidents.
- Remove dents and repair damaged body panels.
- Perform bodywork and collision repairs.
- Straighten and repair vehicle panels and body components.
- Remove and install bumpers, fenders, doors, hoods, headlights, and other body components.
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles as needed during the repair process.
- Prepare damaged areas for repair and painting.
- Follow repair estimates and work orders.
- Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work safely and follow shop safety procedures.
- Communicate with other shop employees regarding repair progress and required work.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in auto body repair or collision repair.
- Experience removing dents and repairing damaged body panels.
- Familiarity with the general collision repair process.
- Ability to identify common vehicle body components and understand how they are repaired or replaced.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- English is not required for this position.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work in a busy automotive repair environment.

- Experience with collision repair.
- Experience with dent removal and body panel repair.
