Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role located in Cheyenne, WY. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates for structural steel fabrication, and collaborating with the project management and sales team. Additional tasks include evaluating blueprints and technical documents, compiling cost data, and maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing on materials and services.
Qualifications
- Experience in cost estimating, project planning, and understanding of blueprint and technical document analysis.
- Strong skills in steel fabrication processes, materials knowledge, and attention to detail in cost assessment.
- Proficiency with software tools for cost estimation, project management, or general office software (e.g., MS Excel).
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams, including sales and project management.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Relevant industry experience or knowledge of structural steel and fabrication standards is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is an advantage but not required if equivalent experience is demonstrated.
