We are hiring our first Forward Deployed Engineer to launch a new business line focused on Independent System Operators (ISOs). This is a zero-to-one role. Our client builds software that helps renewable energy developers identify the cheapest interconnection points on the electrical grid and estimate connection costs. The company works directly with Independent System Operators (ISOs), the entities responsible for planning and operating the electrical grid — a critical bottleneck in the global energy transition. Mission: accelerate grid decarbonization by making ISO planning faster and more efficient.
You will:
Own deployments at specific ISOs
Work directly with founders daily
Travel to embed with users
Ship production software in tight cycles
Learn deeply from Transmission Planning Engineers (TPEs)

Full software ownership for a specific ISO

5 years software engineering experience
Strong coding skills
Comfort operating in ambiguity
