Position Summary
We are looking for an accomplished ballet educator with extensive classical training who believes in building exceptional technique through consistency, structure, and attention to detail.
Our ideal instructor is firm but kind—someone who maintains high standards, confidently enforces classroom expectations, and understands that discipline and encouragement go hand in hand. We want a teacher who prepares dancers for long-term success while fostering a genuine love and appreciation for classical ballet.
Responsibilities
- Teach classical ballet classes for recreational and competitive dancers.
- Develop age-appropriate lessons that emphasize proper technique, alignment, musicality, strength, artistry, and discipline.
- Maintain a structured classroom with clear expectations and consistent routines.
- Enforce studio rules and classroom etiquette with confidence, fairness, and professionalism.
- Correct technique with precision while encouraging growth and confidence.
- Communicate effectively with studio leadership regarding student progress and class needs.
- Choreograph recital routines when needed.
- Arrive prepared, organized, and on time for every class.
Qualifications
- Extensive classical ballet training.
- Previous experience teaching ballet to children and teens.
- Strong understanding of ballet pedagogy, terminology, and progressive technical development.
- Ability to manage a classroom with confidence and consistency.
- Professional, dependable, and punctual.
- Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Passion for helping dancers reach their highest potential.
Pay: $35.00 - $65.00 per hour
