Operations Coordinator
SJ Electric is a locally owned and operated electrical contractor with strong experience in both residential and commercial work. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a reliable, gritty self-starter who can keep projects organized, support a hands-on owner, and help our crews succeed in the field.
This role is the hub of our operations. You'll support the CEO and day-to-day operations by building jobs, scheduling work, tracking progress, and keeping everything accurate in-Service Fusion from start to finish. You'll be the go-to person making sure job details, schedules, paperwork, and reporting are done right.
Working closely with the CEO, foremen, and field teams, you'll help keep projects moving—on time, on budget, and with nothing falling through the cracks. This position owns Service Fusion and job visibility from setup through closeout.
What You'll Do
· Set up, manage, and close out all jobs in Service Fusion
· Keep manpower schedules and job timelines accurate and up to date
· Track job progress, action items, and changes; report status regularly
· Maintain job documentation, change orders, and cost updates
· Assist with invoicing and collections support when needed
· Provide day-to-day administrative and scheduling support to the CEO
· Handle company social media updates and help coordinate community or charitable efforts
· Pitch in where needed to keep the office and projects running smoothly
What We're Looking For
· 3 years of experience in office management, project coordination, or similar work
· Experience in construction, trades, or a field-based environment preferred
· Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
· Comfortable juggling multiple jobs and shifting priorities
· Clear communicator who works well with both office staff and field crews
· Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe a plus)
· Familiar with invoicing, contracts, and basic project paperwork
· Able to work independently, solve problems, and take ownership
· Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship required)
Pay: $ $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
