Position Summary
The Pulse Ambulatory Scheduler is responsible for the scheduling and coordination of adult patients for all Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary rehab and other Pulse outpatient services and procedures. This position is responsible for providing clerical support, patient registration, clinic scheduling, charge entry, medical records maintenance, clinical order processing, referrals, statistics, insurance benefits verification, correspondence and special projects. The scheduler is responsible for expediting the administrative requirements for the patient referrals in the clinics, ensuring that appropriate referrals are made to participating providers; with the patient’s health plan. The scheduler acts as a resource for referrals and insurance plans guidelines. This position requires the ability to learn and retain a broad base of knowledge concerning all examinations and make quick, independent decisions using good judgment. Work situations require a service-oriented individual with the ability to respond to physicians, patients and families with sympathy, respect and understanding. Contacts include patients, families, insurance plans, and referring physicians and their offices.

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.51 - $28.08 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.

Requirements
- Post high school clerical vocational training or college course work preferred
- Minimum one (1) year experience working with an EMR system required
- Experience in a medical setting, preferably with scheduling exp a plus
- Minimum two (2) years clerical and or reception experience, medical setting preferred
- Experience with CPT and ICD coding preferred
