Pulse Clinical Alliance is hiring a MR Fusion Specialist in Boston, MA
Job Description:
- This position requires an ultra-sonographer familiar with urologic imaging and prostate biopsies.
- The ultrasound tech will be responsible for transporting MRI Fusion equipment to hospital and/or ambulatory surgery centers and then assisting urologists in performing the MRI Fusion biopsy.
- The ultra-sonographer must be familiar with proper patient positioning for the procedure as well as a thorough knowledge of equipment functions and male urologic anatomy.
- Essential Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
- Delivery and set-up of equipment in a timely manner and prior to patient arrival
- Calibrating MRI Fusion equipment as needed.
- Ensuring room set-up, including exam table, is properly aligned to ensure a successful procedure.
- Assist with patient positioning as needed.
- Assist urologist with equipment functions (hardware and software) to ensure proper visualization and accurate biopsies in areas of interest or concern.
- Ensure biopsy samples are provided to facility staff in a manner consistent with facility protocols.
- Reload and secure equipment into UMS van for transport to the next scheduled facility.
- Immediately report any procedure problems to the Director, Clinical Operations
- Immediately report any equipment problems/failures to the Director of Operations - Qualifications:
- Experience performing urologic ultrasound/prostate imaging.
- Experience in assisting physicians with biopsy procedures.
- RDMS credentialing strongly preferred.
- Associates degree from an accredited allied health program - Special Work Requirements:
- Must be able and willing to move wheeled equipment.
- Some overnight travel could be needed.
- No on-call requirements
