Medical Assistant – Pulmonary Medicine Outpatient Clinic
Location: Corsicana, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday (No weekends/holidays)

We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to provide vital support in our Corsicana pulmonary clinic. In this role, you will go beyond the basics of primary care, helping patients manage chronic respiratory conditions in a supportive, professional environment dedicated to clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Specialized Intake: Greet patients warmly and perform focused assessments, with a specific emphasis on monitoring respiratory vitals and oxygen saturation levels.
- Clinical Procedures: Administer intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (SQ) injections with precision and care.
- Respiratory Support: Assist with nebulizer treatments, six-minute walk tests, and other respiratory-related clinical tasks as needed.
- EHR Management: Maintain precise documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring accurate medication lists and clinical histories.
- Patient Advocacy: Provide essential education on inhaler techniques and assist with the prior authorization process for specialty medications.
- Clinic Operations: Manage exam room turnover, maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, and ensure supplies are stocked for daily operations.
- Compassionate Care: Provide a calming, professional presence for patients navigating shortness of breath and chronic illness.
Education & Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Preferred Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant (MA) certificate or diploma program.
- Clinical Proficiency: Mastery of vital signs, medication administration (including IM/SQ injections), and specimen collection.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with EHR systems and a high level of attention to detail regarding medical documentation.
- Communication: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred to best serve our diverse local patient population.
- Credentials: Current BLS certification required; MA certification (CMA or RMA) preferred.
