Summary
UNIT SUMMARY:
Pulmonary/ID is a 37 bed adult med- surg acute care specializing in the management of both chronic ventilator patients and peritoneal dialysis patients. We are the only unit that does peritoneal dialysis in the hospital, and we are the only acute care unit managing vents. In addition, we also manage patients with respiratory issues, infectious diseases.
JOB SUMMARY:
As a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
- Requires knowledge of a specialized field.
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- Minimum of less than 1 year of experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse, registered to practice in Maryland (RN).
- American Heart Association CPR Certification (BLS).
