Job Summary
Pulmonary and Sleep of Tampa Bay Brandon Location is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in patient care, medical documentation, and administrative tasks within a clinical setting. This role involves direct patient interaction, triaging and rooming patients and maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR/EMR). The Clinical Medical Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering exceptional patient service.
Responsibilities
- Perform medical assisting duties including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting healthcare providers.
- Manage and update patient information accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) / Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Document medical histories, treatment details, and other relevant information with precision and confidentiality.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment to meet safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and office policies during all patient interactions and documentation processes.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in medical office settings or medical assisting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using eClinicalworks EMR/EHR system for documentation and record management.
- Strong knowledge of medical assisting procedures, including taking vital signs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Bilingual a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate record keeping and efficient workflow.
