Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Rooming patient and preforming intake duties, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patient care.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately by documenting patient encounters, ICD coding, and updating medical histories.
- Preform in office testing; Pulmonary Function testing and Oxygen Monitoring
- Nebulizer treatment and medication injections
- Perform routine clerical duties including scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and managing medical administrative support tasks efficiently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant 1 year
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology
- Hands-on experience with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding is essential for accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, medication administration
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence; compassionate approach to patient care is vital.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
