What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Nutrition Services Staff position at Pullman School District 267?
DEFINITION OF POSITION: Support the nutrition services program by covering absences at various locations throughout the district on an as needed basis.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler’s permit
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with food preparation
- Understanding of food safety and proper food handling
- Experience cashiering and record keeping
ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED ACTIVITIES:
- Assist in the preparation of a variety of foods
- Accept payments on accounts for student and adult meals
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as ovens, kettles, mixers, slicers, and dishwasher
- Implement defined standards of safety and sanitation
- Perform related duties as assigned including organizing, cleaning, and dishwashing
- Work positively with a wide variety of people both inside and outside the organization
- Work with colleagues in a collaborative manner and be a positive team builder
- Meet multiple demands in pressure situations and maintain high levels of quality work
- Maintain confidentiality
- Deal with the public, other agencies and district employees in a positive and productive manner
- Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
- Work with minimal supervision and be flexible
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Terms of Assignment: On call as needed
- Salary: $18.44/hour
- Benefits: Paid sick leave per RCW 49.46.210
