Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role located in Warrenton, VA at the Puller Veterans Care Center. The Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care to veteran residents, including assessing health status, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, and documenting care in accordance with clinical standards and regulations. The role includes coordinating care plans with an interdisciplinary team, communicating with residents and families about health concerns, and supporting rehabilitation and memory care programs. The Registered Nurse will help ensure infection control, safety, and quality-of-care practices are followed, and will respond to urgent and emergent situations in a timely and professional manner. lleagues.Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia, and current BLS/CPR certification.
- Clinical skills in geriatric, long-term, memory care, and rehabilitation nursing, including assessment, care planning, and medication administration.
- Knowledge of nursing best practices, infection control, documentation standards, and applicable state and federal regulations for long-term care facilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members in a diverse care environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple residents’ needs, and remain calm and effective in urgent or emergency situations.
- Demonstrated commitment to person-centered care, respect for veterans’ service, and maintenance of resident dignity and autonomy.
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, or similar settings is preferred; memory care or rehabilitation experience is a plus.
