Duties And Responsibilities
Administrative Duties:
- Attend staff meetings and maintain effective communication within the healthcare team
- Prepare briefings and documentation for adverse patient outcomes or incidents
- Maintain accurate and timely CPRS documentation and manage open encounters/consults
- Participate in quality assurance activities, performance measures, productivity assessments, and safety oversight
- Support process improvement initiatives and systems redesign for better clinic efficiency
- Deliver compassionate and appropriate patient care across all stages including health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, and end-of-life care
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of clinical, biomedical, and social sciences to patient care
- Stay current with medical advancements and implement evidence-based practices
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Demonstrate commitment to professional development, ethical conduct, and diversity awareness
- Understand the healthcare system and advocate for improvements in care delivery and patient outcomes
- Actively participate in the teaching and mentoring of medical trainees
- Monitor educational activities and ensure proper supervision of residents and fellows
- Support academic contributions and learning initiatives within the department
- Expertise in urological diagnosis and procedures
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as CPRS
- Knowledge of quality assurance and patient safety protocols
- Involvement in process improvement and system redesign initiatives
- Experience with supervising or teaching residents/fellows
- Familiarity with telehealth or hybrid healthcare delivery models
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology (ABU preferred)
- Unrestricted medical license in the United States
- Active DEA registration
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in urology
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
