Job Overview/Summary

As an Operating Room Nurse at the Surgery Center, you will circulate (and scrub, if applicable) across a wide range of surgical specialties. This position offers an excellent work-life balance — no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in various surgical specialties with attention to patient safety and sterile technique.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to ensure smooth procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room environment.
• Provide perioperative care, including pre- and post-surgical support.
• Adhere to all facility and regulatory safety standards.
  
  

Primary Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical protocols and OR procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and manage high-stress environments.
  
  

Secondary Skills (Good To Have)

• Scrub experience in multiple surgical specialties.
• Familiarity with advanced surgical equipment and technology.
  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the District of Columbia.
• BLS CPR certification through AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training (required).
• OR experience required.
