Job Overview/Summary
The Clinical Pathologist will be responsible for the examination and interpretation of clinical pathology specimens, preparation of accurate and timely pathology reports, and providing expert consultation services to clients. Responsibilities
- Perform gross and/or microscopic examination of clinical pathology specimens.
- Prepare accurate pathology reports within established turnaround times.
- Provide telephone consultations to clients regarding pathology cases.
- Collaborate and consult with other pathologists to ensure diagnostic consistency.
- Advise laboratory personnel on proper specimen processing techniques.
- Act as the pathologist on duty and promote a collegial team environment.
- Participate actively in pathologist meetings and foster strong professional relationships with clients.
- Contribute to hospital growth and uphold its professional reputation.
- Engage in quality control and continuing education activities.
- Allocate time for professional development or approved projects that enhance hospital operations.
- Expertise in clinical pathology, including specimen examination and report preparation.
- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in computer and dictation systems.
- Experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with current trends and practices in veterinary clinical medicine.
- Service-oriented and collaborative attitude.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload effectively.
- Proficiency in using computers and related diagnostic software.
- Willingness to work on-site at the Wetherby Lab at least one day per week.

Salary : $40,000 - $45,000
