The Pulaski County Tourism Bureau & Visitors Center is seeking an experienced and visionary Tourism Executive Director to lead our destination marketing efforts across the heart of Missouri and beyond. This position is responsible for implementing the board's strategic direction through the comprehensive promotion and marketing of Pulaski County to leisure, group, media, and business travelers, while ensuring operational excellence and fiscal integrity.
Pulaski County—home to Historic Route 66, outdoor adventures, and authentic Midwest charm—is growing as a regional destination for travelers, reunions, and group tours. As Tourism Executive Director, you'll guide our marketing strategy, manage our talented team, and work with local and state and international partners to promote our county as 'A Welcome Place in America's Heartland.'
The Pulaski County Tourism Bureau & Visitors Center is the official 501(c)(6) nonprofit Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for Pulaski County, Missouri.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement Pulaski County's marketing strategy, partnerships, and grant-funded programs.
- Oversee digital and traditional marketing, public relations, and creative campaigns.
- Manage operations of the Visitors Center and staff.
- Represent the Bureau with media, civic organizations, and the tourism industry.
- Build partnerships that expand the county's tourism impact and visitor experience.
