IT Support Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s Degree in Applied Science or equivalent job experience
• Experience with Microsoft Windows, MAC, Chrome and iOS Operating Systems
• Basic Microsoft Windows Active Directory user management
• Experience with Chromebook setup and hardware repair required
• Google Certified Educator Level 1 and 2
• Two (2) years of experience with personal computers (PC) and mobile device repair
• Must have excellent customer service skills

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology Operations

JOB GOAL: To provide computer and mobile device repair service and basic network system administration tasks. Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair system hardware and software.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  Evaluate personal computer and mobile device software and hardware issues. Run diagnostic programs to decide if the issue is software and/or hardware related.
• Test and replace electronic components; add peripherals and expansion boards.
• Troubleshoot, repair and configure local and network printers.
• Setup and configure new computer systems and mobile devices for end users.
• Perform general network related support and troubleshooting for end users.
• Troubleshoot and repair software issues, including operating systems and third party software.
• Have knowledge and ability to use imaging software.
• Responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing and troubleshooting audio and video equipment.
• Provide own transportation for service calls. (Standard mileage reimbursement for personal car usage will apply according to PCSSD’s Business Procedure Manual.)
• Provide preventative maintenance for all computers and mobile devices.
• Assist Instructional Technology as needed or required
• Maintain certification/qualification requirements for Self Maintainer Programs and order warranty parts.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary Range: Range 16 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($19.00/hr. - $33.52/hr. depending relevant experience)

Length of Contract: 244 contract days

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Personnel Status: Classified

Performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
