Description
Great opportunity to work with students preparing and serving nutritious meals with no weekends, nights, or holiday's.
Job Goal:
Pulaski Community School District’s Food Service Support Staff is responsible for compliance with food quality standards; implementation of nutritional standards for meals and meal pattern requirements; and effective organization of records to ensure documentation in accordance with federal, state and local laws and policies. Food Service staff will operate within established guidelines to provide a cost-effective program of high integrity.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school graduate, some post-secondary training preferred

Possess functional knowledge of menu planning, techniques in quantity food preparation and serving, and sanitation standards

Demonstrates effective organizational skills

Demonstrates ability to adequately comprehend both verbal and written instructions; ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.

Demonstrates accuracy in mathematical calculations as required for maintaining food production records, food ordering, and cash handling.

Demonstrates ability to work cooperatively with peers and to work effectively with school-age children and staff.

Demonstrates ability to prepare/maintain complete and accurate reports and records.

Physical ability to stand and walk for more than 90% of the work day; frequently reach, bend, push, carry and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds daily and up to 75 pounds with the assistance of a dolly when performing duties.

Physical ability to complete dishwashing tasks, including frequent twisting, bending, pushing and carrying dishes up to 50 pounds.

Demonstrates versatility to adapt to frequent changes in job duties.

Demonstrating ability to maintain regular attendance at scheduled work times is an essential part of the job. Chronic absenteeism in excess of accumulated sick leave and allowable family and medical leave will be considered in determining whether an employee is able to perform the essential job functions of this position.
