The Opportunity:
Own and elevate the Demand Planning process for the Dr. Barbara Sturm brand in the US market. You'll be responsible for building accurate sales forecasts by gathering market intelligence and collaborating closely with both local and global teams. Your work will ensure product availability, maintain high service levels, and contribute to optimized global inventory. You’ll also track alignment between forecasts and budgets, investigate discrepancies, and help drive the Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process.
What you’ll get to do:
- Continuously enhance planning processes by applying your expertise, embracing change, and leveraging best practices from other brands and markets
- Lead the S&OP process for Dr. Barbara Sturm US, ensuring alignment across teams
- Analyze market dynamics, including seasonality, competition, trends, and sales goals to make strategic, value driven adjustments
- Monitor current inventory and project future needs based on sell-out plans and consumer behavior
- Ensure demand plan accuracy to support financial targets
- Collaborate with Supply Planning to adjust for market opportunities and constraints
- Provide short and long-term sales forecasts to the Global Demand Planning team
- Track and manage key KPIs: Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Costs, and Service Levels
- Champion US Demand Planning initiatives that align with evolving market and business needs, especially in the skincare space
- Serve as a key cross-functional partner to Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance, acting as the go-to source for critical planning insights
- Analyze shipment patterns and seasonal trends to inform accurate forecasting and strategic recommendations
- Communicate significant forecast changes, scenario planning, and supply updates in alignment with operational strategy
We’d love to meet you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning, or Inventory Management
- Proven experience with forecasting in the US market
- Proficiency with planning tools like IBP (or similar)
- Experience in the beauty industry, especially skincare, is a strong plus
- A self-starter mindset with entrepreneurial drive
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (or similar ERP)
- Excellent analytical and operational skills
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal abilities
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
Compensation:
As required by New York State’s salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $105,000.00 - $115,000.00. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
