Job Summary
As a Marijuana Budtender, you will be the friendly, knowledgeable face of our dispensary, guiding customers through their cannabis journey with enthusiasm and expertise. Your passion for the product and dedication to customer service will create a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable exploring our wide selection of cannabis products. You’ll assist with product recommendations, educate customers on different strains and consumption methods, and ensure a smooth, engaging shopping experience. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Educate customers on various cannabis products, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
• Conduct product demos when appropriate to showcase new or popular items
• Assist customers in selecting products based on their preferences and needs, upselling where suitable to enhance their experience
• Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring product availability and presentation are attractive
• Perform inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment, tracking product levels, and conducting regular stock audits
• Follow all legal regulations regarding age verification, product labeling, and sales limits to promote responsible consumption
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers using professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing support
• Support store operations through basic math calculations for sales transactions and inventory counts
• Assist with store cleanliness and organization to uphold health and safety standards

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially within grocery stores or specialty retail environments such as dispensaries or health stores
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in managing team members or overseeing daily operations
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product details clearly and confidently
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures ensures smooth transaction processes
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management enhances store presentation and inventory control
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales totals, discounts, or inventory counts
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally over the phone
• Candidates need to have dependable transportation and a valid government issued ID
• State regulations require all dispensary employees to hold a cannabis control division worker permit. This is mandatory for compliance, applicants who have their permit or have recently submitted an application will be given preference during hiring process.
