Corporate/In-House Counsel for Automotive Dealership GroupWe are seeking a highly skilled and proactive In-House Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves safeguarding the company's interests, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating legal risks across all operations, from vehicle sales and service to corporate governance and employment matters. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills who can provide timely, business-oriented legal advice to our executive team and various departments.Compensation:$150,000 - $300,000 yearlyResponsibilities:Offering counsel on a variety of legal issuesAdvising executives within the companyWorking alongside other departments within the companyAdvising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different dealsWorking alone or with other attorneys to prepare legal documents such as briefs, motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and subpoenasDrafting contracts, lease agreements, loan agreements, and other legal documents for clientsDrafting and reviewing agreements such as employment contracts, nondisclosure agreements, and non-compete agreementsAdditional responsibilities as required by the organizationQualifications:Must have a law degree from a recognized universityMust be admitted to the California State BarStrong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organizationStrong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issuesAbility to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization and across all businessesAbility to work independently with little or no supervisionMust be willing and able to work on-site at our main officeMust be able to attend legal hearings/proceedings off-site when neededAutomotive industry experience is desired but not requiredAbout CompanyPuente Hills Hyundai is a busy multi-dealership, family-owned franchise.
