Position Overview
The Salesperson is responsible for selling new and used vehicles while achieving dealership volume, gross profit, and customer satisfaction goals. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for delivering excellent service, and a desire to continuously grow your sales success.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers quickly and professionally during showroom floor time
- Conduct effective product presentations and demonstration drives on approved routes
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through proactive outreach and follow-up
- Deliver vehicles to customers with a complete and positive experience post-sale
- Maintain ongoing contact with owners to encourage satisfaction, loyalty, and referrals
- Touch base with management before dissatisfied or unclosed customers leave the dealership
- Maintain expert knowledge of current and incoming inventory — prices, features, specs, options, and availability
- Utilize phone, email, and direct communication to schedule and secure appointments
- Prepare all required documentation accurately and fully for each sale, including finance and trade-in details
- Collaborate with sales team members to ensure the dealership meets goals
- Maintain dealership showroom and lot merchandising and display standards
- Check in and out with management and front desk whenever leaving the premises
- Uphold company dress code and dealership professional service standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous automotive or retail sales experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Proficiency with phone/CRM systems is a plus
