Pueblo Small Animal Clinic has been helping local pet families in Pueblo stay healthy and feel at ease for over 100 years. We offer three examination rooms, a surgical prep and surgical suite, in-house laboratory, digital radiography (including dental), and laser therapy. We pride ourselves on providing quality care by offering a wide variety of medical, surgical, and dental services using progressive, modern medicine and innovative technology. We are a fast paced, high volume, multi-doctor practice seeking another talented individual with a passion for companion animal care to join our team.

Responsibilities
- Utilize veterinary experience to assist with animal handling/restraint, catheterization, and radiographs.
- Animal husbandry proficiency
- Proficient in laboratory procedures including bloodwork, fecal and urinalysis
- Computer proficiency
- Proficient in assisting in surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring.
- A passion for building a trusting relationship with clients, colleagues, and the community
- Ability to be a trusted partner in pet care using strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Open availability including the ability to cover shifts on short notice
- Provide compassionate care for animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being during visits.
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, and surgeries, utilizing veterinary terminology and knowledge.
- Handle and restrain animals safely for various treatments and procedures.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate records of treatments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions and follow-up.
