Pueblo Radiology Medical Group Inc. is an outpatient diagnostic imaging center that for over fifty years, has been dedicated to providing top-quality medical imaging services in a professional, compassionate, and timely manner for our patients, referring physicians, and hospital affiliates. We are currently looking for a full-time Medical Records Clerk. They will oversee the organization and maintenance of patient records in our healthcare facility. Medical Records Clerk responsibilities include collecting patient information, issuing medical files, and processing patient admissions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Gathering patient demographic and personal information
- Issuing medical files to persons and agencies according to laws and regulations
- Helping with departmental audits and investigations
- Distribute medical charts to the appropriate departments of the hospital
- Maintain accurate records by following hospital procedures
- Ensure patient charts, paperwork, and reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Keep all medical records confidential and protected
- File all patients’ medical records and information
- Supply the nursing department with the appropriate documents and forms
- Complete clerical duties including answering phones, responding to emails, and processing patient admission and discharge records
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven work experience as a Medical Records Clerk or similar role
- Knowledge of HIPPA and client confidentiality laws
- At least one year of administrative experience in a healthcare organization.
- Proficient in information management programs and MS Office
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Up to one year of experience or equivalent training
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer and keyboard skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic phone etiquette

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
