Senior Citizen Assistant Cook
Primary Duties:
- Prepare all types of raw and cooked food (meat, vegetables, soups, and baked goods)
- Knowledge in the use and care of basic kitchen equipment
- Follows directions as written o recipes
- Knowledge about presentation of appealing and acceptable meals and portions of food serving
- Knowledge of proper care of raw and cooked foods
- Executes proper sanitation and safety procedures
- Maintains a clean and neat work area as well as inventory of kitchen equipment and food
- Attends training sessions and performs other duties as assigned
- Must be able to operate food equipment/machinery as well as other equipment
- Some heavy lifting required
- Meal delivery to eligible participants
Job Related Qualification Standards:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous work experience in kitchen management
- Must have a valid driver’s license, CPR Certified, First Aid Certified, Food Handlers Certified or willing to receive training
- Must have acceptable driving record
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
