JOB LOCATION: Buffalo Thunder and Cities of Gold Casino’s
REPORTS TO: Count Team Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Bank Operations
FLSA STATUS: Full time; non-exempt position.
TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE (DAYS/HRS PER WEEK): TBD
JOB PURPOSE: To assist the Count Team Supervisor in carrying out his/her duties and responsibilities in performing slot and table hard and soft drop duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- In the absence of the Count Team Supervisor, directly supervises Count Team Members.
o Schedules work, reviews and approves timesheets and leave requests. First level for handling problems, initiates disciplinary action. May conduct performance appraisals, and provide training for new employees.
- May assist in employment and termination decisions, layoffs, promotions, salary increases or other personnel activities.
- Signs out for keys and trolleys for slot machines and table drop.
- Opens machines and pulls and sets out bill validators (BVD’s) and drop boxes.
- Counts and rolls coin.
- Starts and stops hard and soft drop in the SMART System and enters machine numbers.
- Separates BVD cards by machine number.
- Generates reports by denomination from K-Scale computer program indicating machine number and actual drop amount.
- Prepares Electronic Gaming Device Report (transfer sheet).
- Required to attend supervisory classes
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
- Extensive knowledge of departmental SOP’s relative to hard count, security, surveillance, and Sports Bar.
- Extensive knowledge of the PGI Employee Handbook.
- Good knowledge of casino layout relative to location of slot machines/pit area.
- Ability to supervise and manage people, to plan and organize.
- Skill in using computer, programs, K-Scale, and calculator
- Good verbal and written communication skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 4 years of applicable related lead or supervisory related experience.
- Casino experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Standing-60% /Walking-35% /Sitting-5%; Casino/Count room setting.
- Exposure to noise and cigarette smoke.
- Shift work required.
- On 24-hour emergency call.
- Required to work weekends, and holidays.
