Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and month-end closing processes.
- Prepare detailed financial reports using Excel data analysis techniques such as VLOOKUP functions and advanced formulas.
- Utilize financial software systems like Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, and Thompson Reuters platforms for accurate data entry and reporting.
- Conduct account reconciliations and analyze variances to support financial accuracy.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial data management.
Experience
- Proven accounting and finance experience with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
- Prior experience working in public accounting or within a corporate finance environment is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in using financial software such as QuickBooks, UltraTax, and related Thompson Reuters financial programs
- Strong proficiency in Excel including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions, and spreadsheet analysis for detailed financial review.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable management, invoice processing automation, and accounts payable workflows.
- Knowledge of financial concepts like debits & credits, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and journal entries.
- Experience handling confidential information with integrity while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
