Environmental Sanitor, Part Time, Bakery - Atlanta

Description

• Disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing and reassembling production equipment
• Applying various chemicals on different equipment as well as in environmental locations
• Organizing and cleaning of wash down area, trash dock and storage areas
• Maintaining the cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and garbage cans
• Organizing and cleaning of kitchen, trash dock and storage areas
• Helping maintain chemical storage areas
• Helping with housekeeping duties where needed
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
• Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
• Must be able to work in high areas and confined spaces
• Must be able to push or pull heavy equipment
• Must be able to work in a wet and slippery environment with temperatures ranging from 65 to 90 degrees
• Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Must demonstrate safe working habits
• Must possess general knowledge of machine operation
• Must be able to use creative thinking for trouble-shooting
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to assist other team members in other areas
• Must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time
• Must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision
• Must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to communicate effectively

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. The bonus for this position is 8 hours of pay when a new associate joins Publix prior to July 1. There is no bonus in the first year for associates hired after July 1. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to 8 hours’ pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.

Other Compensation Information

Meal Differential: A $.50 per hour meal differential is paid to associates if there is not a cafeteria at or near the facility they work in. Weekend Differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
