Facility Support Associate, Central Fill - Jacksonville (St.Johns)

Description

The purpose of this position is to maintain building and property appearance according to Central Pharmacy’s Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist with the management of supplies and recyclables. This position involves working with multiple groups within Publix to assist with the cleaning of industrial equipment, tractor trailers, facility floors, common areas, and office areas. This position is also responsible for sorting and managing on-site recycling materials and for assisting with the stocking and rotation of supplies, on and off the production floor, to reduce shrink. This position follows a Master Sanitation Schedule, where each completed task is documented. This position also assists Central Pharmacy management with special facility projects and other ad hoc tasks as needed.The responsibilities listed on this posting are not intended to be all-inclusive and additional responsibilities may be assigned, as needed.Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the appearance of the building and property according to Central Pharmacy’s Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Assisting with the management of facility recyclables, production supplies, and non-production supplies
• Assisting the management staff at Central Pharmacy with ad hoc facility projects, special events, and meeting set ups
  
  

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• Ability and willingness to demonstrate eagerness, enthusiasm, optimism, and passion when working

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher
• Publix forklift certified
• Forklift experience
• Warehouse and/or janitorial experience
• Spanish, Creole, etc.
• Knowledge of MSDS sheets, including familiarity with filling out sheets and proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals (i.e., cleaning supplies)
• Knowledge of Publix’s health and safety procedures
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
