Merchandise Specialist
Location: Braselton, GA / Hybrid
Job Summary
The Merchandise Specialist is a dynamic, customer-obsessed, and critical member of the core team at Publisher Services, LLC (PSi). The Merchandise Specialist will be aligned to Brand Manager(s) and Planner(s) and will help support Brand Partners. This role encompasses the responsibilities of maintaining data integrity, driving process improvements, and facilitating effective communication with the assigned Brand Partners.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry and maintenance in ERP systems, including Acumen, Salsify, Salesforce and Monday.com, ensuring all information is accurate and current
- Item setup and maintenance in ERP/Salsify systems ensuring PSi has all necessary information to list items effectively and efficiently
- Collect and maintain pictures, videos, and enhanced content in Salsify, ensuring all assets are organized and accessible
- Work closely with external Brand Partners to collect and update item release dates and item copy into internal systems
- Utilize cross-functional communicate methods with internal and external team members regarding the status of items and any changes to customer planograms
- Maintain general item data in the PSi ERP system, including UPC’s, case packs, compliance testing and other relevant information
- Manage and maintain records of overages, shortages, and damages in collaboration with Brand Partners and the internal finance team
- Create, maintain and track purchase orders as directed by Planner(s), ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Actively participates in shipment meetings providing inventory and tracking information
- Partners with Planner(s) and Order Management to process back orders
- Facilitate collection of assets needed for customer presentations, ensuring all materials are prepared and organized
- Provide support to the core team with various administrative tasks and projects as assigned
- Merchandise Specialist may be responsible for training and training documentation for other Merchandise Specialist
- Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate that to VP, Director and Planner(s)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain roles, preferably in the retail industry
- Organized and motivated with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and can work both independently and well across cross-departmental teams
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and easily adapt to changing priorities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and familiarity with Salsify, Salesforce, Monday.com is highly desirable
