Overview

Role Overview
The Director, Content connects branded content strategy to business growth for retail clients, serving as a key link between Strategy, Investment, Media Partner, and Client stakeholders. This leader develops insight-driven content partnerships driving creativity, ideation, innovation, and efficiencies that lead to consumer engagements.


Responsibilities

  • Embody brand storytelling with business acumen and skill to perform at a senior level. Have a command of the media and content landscape from a brand communication and publisher perspective.
  • Create branded content initiatives that achieve business goals while optimizing media investments.
  • Collaborate with cross-channel content creators, media brands, and partners to identify, customize, and execute opportunities that deliver on specific client goals across disciplines. Maintain strong relationships with partners to allow easier negotiation, drive efficiencies, enhance access to innovations, ensure first-to-market opportunities, and smooth execution of partnerships.
  • Lead project execution, including digital campaigns, integrated sponsorships, and content creation across linear, digital, social, print, event, and emerging and interactive platforms. Supervise the development and monitoring of client delivery executions, assuring quality control of all content partnership-related media planning and implementation.
  • Facilitate collaboration with internal, publisher, and client measurement leads to establish and report on program KPIs and drive optimization to ensure exceeding campaign goals.
  • Manage program budgets in partnership with Investment teams and maintain accurate financial tracking and reporting.
  • Identify growth opportunities, emerging formats, and industry trends on behalf of client and agency business.
  • Contribute to thought leadership positioning content as a business driver.
  • Support connectivity with adjacent practices (Cultural Convergence, Commerce, Business Affairs).
  • Embrace and encourage a culture based on intellectual curiosity, communication, collaboration, and creativity.
  • Manage and mentor a supervisor.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of Integrated Marketing and Branded Content Execution experience, ideally with a retail focus.
  • Proven success developing content partnerships that drive business results.
  • Strong retail industry and consumer behavior knowledge.
  • Expertise in channel planning and content distribution.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Superior negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.

Compensation Range: $154,445 - $169,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
