What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jewish Communal Public Relations Manager position at Public Relations Firm?
At Steinreich Communications, you'll work with leading Jewish and Israeli nonprofits that are dedicated to strengthening Jewish communities and creating meaningful social impact. Our clients are tackling some of the most important issues facing Jewish communities today, from combating antisemitism and supporting Jewish education to addressing poverty, strengthening Israel and giving people and communities the tools they need to thrive.
As an Account Manager in our Jewish Communal Practice, you'll take an active role in managing client accounts, developing and executing media strategies and identifying opportunities to generate meaningful coverage. You'll work directly with clients, build relationships with reporters, secure national and international media coverage, develop compelling story angles and help turn important work happening across the Jewish community into stories that reach people who care about these issues and want to help create meaningful change.
You'll also manage and mentor junior team members while working closely with senior leadership in a highly collaborative, horizontal team structure.
What You'll Do
· Manage day-to-day client relationships and serve as a trusted PR advisor to clients
· Lead client calls and meetings, develop agendas and ensure follow-through on priorities and action items
· Execute media strategies that advance client objectives
· Proactively identify news, trends, events and other opportunities to generate meaningful media coverage and turn those opportunities into actionable PR ideas
· Build relationships with and pitch reporters and editors across national, international, Jewish and relevant trade media
· Secure high-value media interviews and other coverage opportunities for clients
· Develop compelling story angles that bring attention to the people, issues and impact behind our clients' work
· Write and edit press releases, pitches, briefing materials, op-eds and other communications materials
· Monitor breaking news and developments affecting Jewish communities, Israel and the issues relevant to our clients
· Stay current on the issues, organizations and conversations shaping the Jewish communal landscape
· Manage and mentor more junior team members, providing direction, feedback and opportunities to take on greater responsibility
· Anticipate client needs and proactively bring forward ideas, recommendations and solutions rather than waiting to be asked
· Work closely with senior leadership to develop creative PR strategies and deliver strong results for clients
· Contribute to a collaborative team environment where ideas, initiative and fresh thinking are encouraged
You'll work across a range of accounts and issues, gaining exposure to different organizations, communities and areas of impact. You'll have the responsibility to lead your accounts, the opportunity to work on issues that matter and the support of experienced senior leaders who are invested in your growth.

The ideal candidate will have:
· At least four years of professional public relations or communications experience
· Demonstrated experience developing and executing media strategies and securing meaningful coverage
· Established relationships with reporters and editors across national, international and relevant Jewish media

· Excellent communication, organizational and project-management skills
· The ability to work independently, take initiative and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
· A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at every level
· An interest in and understanding of Jewish communal issues, Israel and the organizations and causes working to strengthen Jewish communities
· A bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism or a related field
Our leadership structure gives Account Managers direct access to experienced PR professionals and senior leaders invested in helping them grow.
