Type: CONTRACT Department: Production  Location: Fly-in/Fly-out; sourcing talent in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Denver, New York, and    Chicago (U.S. tour – travel, lodging, and per diem fully covered) 

Overview Public Label Agency is hiring a Freelance Tour Manager to lead a multi-city experiential sampling tour for a high-end chocolate brand client. The tour will activate across several major U.S. cities and is designed to engage consumers through immersive sampling moments, branded touchpoints, and interactive on-site experiences. 

As the on-site lead, you’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of the daily event experience - from setup to teardown, while overseeing event staff, ensuring brand integrity, and acting as a liaison for agency, venue, vendor, and client teams. This is a fly-in/fly-out freelance position with all travel expenses, accommodation, and per diem fully covered. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead daily on-site operations including load-in, activation, and breakdown 
  • Manage teams of local Brand Ambassadors at each event stop 
  • Oversee refrigerated product handling and high-volume sampling 
  • Ensure all branding, signage, and visual displays are correctly implemented 
  • Serve as point person for agency, client, venue, and vendor communication 
  • Track key performance metrics (e.g., interactions, samples distributed, QR scans) 
  • Support pre-tour training and material preparation 
  • Collect and submit post-event documentation including photos and recaps 
  • Troubleshoot and manage on-the-ground logistics or last-minute needs 

Qualifications 

  • 4 years of experience in field marketing, live events, or touring programs 
  • Proven experience leading staff and managing event logistics 
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills 
  • Highly organized, reliable, and adaptable in dynamic environments 
  • Comfortable with product handling and consumer engagement 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 
  • Physically able to lift and set up event materials (30 lbs) 
  • Familiarity with event reporting processes and recap tools is a plus 

Expectations 

  • Must be available for all tour stops and pre-tour prep 
  • Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings, or evenings based on event needs 
  • Fly-in/fly-out schedule; travel, lodging, and per diem provided by agency 
  • Public Label team members will provide support in select cities 
  • Anticipated average of 40 hours/week with variations depending on tour schedule

  • Atlanta, GA – Training & Tour Prep: Starting Sept 8 (includes paid training) 
  • Cincinnati, OH – Major Food & Culture Festival: Sept 17–22 
  • Denver, CO – Heritage Event Activation: Sept 25–29 
  • New York, NY – Sports & Entertainment Event: Oct 10–12 
  • Chicago, IL – Iconic Holiday Market: Dec 4–8
